The Wayne Township School District is committed to sustainability by ensuring that resources are used wisely to not only save money, but to reduce our impact on the environment and educate our staff and students on the importance of sustainability as it impacts their everyday life.  
Announcements
WAYNE TOWNSHIP SCHOOLS ACHIEVE 'BRONZE' CERTIFICATION
The Wayne Township Public School District is proud to announce that all fourteen of its school facilities has achieved BRONZE status with Sustainable Jersey for Schools. This initiative encompasses three equal, interrelated components of sustainability:

People - contribution to a strong civil society and provides opportunity for all
Prosperity - support local economies and use community resources
Planet - practice responsible environmental management and conservation

To qualify for this designation, individual schools were required to provide proof of efforts made in all areas of sustainability actions per the program. Such activities are school based and district based. School based activities included energy efficiencies, establishment of green teams, school gardens, and curriculum based instruction. District based activities included utility management tracking, green purchasing policies, purchase of energy star appliances and recycled paper products,
